Benita Watts

Executive Director

Benita Watts has been Executive Director at Legacy Village of Athens since August 2025, bringing with her over 11 years of experience in the senior living industry. Having previously worked in the insurance industry, legal field and as a church administrator, Watts found her calling for healthcare in 2014, where she started in sales and marketing. Watts was promoted to Executive Director in 2020 and has since served in this capacity. 

As Executive Director, Benita strives to create an environment and culture where people are excited to live and work. Her compassion, vibrant energy and strong leadership make her the perfect fit to lead the Legacy Village team.

Originally from Southern Illinois, Benita has two, very tall sons, one of whom plays professional basketball overseas, and a teenage daughter who dreams of Broadway. She loves to travel, watch sports, attend and volunteer at church, listen to music, and most of all, spend time with family.
