Legacy Village of Athens Executive Director

Legacy Village of Athens, a premier assisted living and memory care community, is excited to welcome Benita Watts as Executive Director. With over 11 years of experience in senior care, Watts brings a true passion for serving seniors, cultivating strong teams and providing a comfortable home for residents during their golden years.


Having previously worked in various industries including insurance, law, church administration and real estate, Watts found her calling for healthcare in 2014. She began her healthcare journey in sales and marketing and stepped into operations as an Executive Director in 2020.


“I am so thrilled about joining the Legacy Village family! My goal is to lead with the type of passion, integrity and excellence that creates an environment and culture where people are excited to live and work,” states Watts.


“Benita brings vibrant energy and strong leadership to the Legacy Village of Athens team. Her extensive experience in healthcare, coupled with her genuine love of serving others, makes her the perfect person for this position. Benita has two adult sons and a teenage daughter with whom she soaks up every moment with. She loves to travel, watch sports, attend and volunteer at church, listen to music, and most of all, spend time with family.
